1) What was Miller's point of the Crucible?
http://www.17thc.us/docs/fact-fiction.shtml
This website talks about how he studied the Salem Witch Trials and researched it.

2) How are McCarthyism, the Red Scare, Arthur Miller, and The Crucible interrelated?
http://projects.edtech.sandi.net/hoover/crucible/
This site talks about how McCarthyism and the Crucible have results of hysteria that are in the same time periods.
This talks about how they both were a fear, hysteria, false trialing, and the very suspicious events.
3) Document other times in American history when 'witch hunts' were conducted and discuss the outcomes of the Salem witch hunt and the other witch hunts you find. What do they all have in common?
http://members.tripod.com/~HazelWolf/Hazel_Witchhunt.html
This website talks about how Hitler's army invaded France and England. The US then became allies to Germany along with France and Great Britian to defeat the German Army. It also talks about a few other types of witch hunts.

Good start, Landon. I liked the first website which is a webquest for students doing a project on this play. I don't think that an essay from cheathouse is a very reliabe source, though, and I can't access the whole essay without paying for it. The persecution of the gypsies is definitely a witch hunt topic, but unless you can apply it to America in some way, it doesn't fit the topic. Keep going!!!
Landon, you found some good websites talking about The Crucible, McCarthyism, and the Red Scare, but you might want to add some more information about each site.
1. I like your first site, it really describes well.
2. Great sites here, well done!
3. You can't use Europe's witch hunts, but other than that...just find some more information on American witch hunts and you should be set to go!
Landon... you might want to show the numbers one, two, and three to help keep it organized. Good Job!
Landon, I really liked your first site. You might want to add some more description for your sites in number two.
Make sure that your 'witch hunts' happened in American because the ones from Europe don't count. Good Job!
Landon, nice sites, the first one was interesting. The site about the gypsies was a good site to read. Support your sites more by writing more of a description. Good job.
1. Your first website was okay. It makes me wonder if the writer is somewhat bias. It wouldn't be my first choice for a good site, but it gives some useful information.
2. The essay from cheathouse is written by another student and I wouldn't suggest it because, first of all its probably not very reliable, and second of all, you have to pay to read the entire essay.
3. Good website! I have the same one. The persecution of gypsies might not be an American Witch Hunt. Might want to check up on that.
You might want to add more information on your blog about what each site is about because as a browser of your blog, it would be more convienent if you would give me information; then I could easily decide if your suggested website would be worth my time to look at.
Good job!
I liked your sites, but you should add some more information about them. You should also add numbers to your questions to make your blog more organized like Kayla said. Nice job!
hey landon your secound website was really good, its nice to have something actually writtien by Ather Miller.
I also the other website that was divided into sectoins it was easy to access and great for giving details!
You also might need to find another website of witch hunts, you cant have one from Europe.
Great JOb!
1. For your first question you found a good website but if you added more information about it then it would be better.
2. The two websites you have listed for this question do a good job in explaining how The Red Scare, McCarthyism, and Miller are interrelated
3. This is a good website but I think the witch hunts have to be conducted in American and this one has to do with Europe, otherwise good job!
The first link really had no bearing on the question that was asked.
I would find a different website that isn't made for cheating on papers. It just doesn't seem right.
Great informative site on McCarthy. It was really done well and I got a lot out of it.
it overall looks pretty good..i found it mostly interesting when talking about McCarthyism and hysteria.
1.) Maybe this computer is stupid, but I'm having trouble getting to this site...talk a little more about the site in your summary in case this happens to other people.
2.) Okay, this site doesn't give information about the three events, I think it's a rubric for an assignment for another class (the 'projects' website).
3.) Hitler and the Holocaust wasn't an American witch hunt...try some modern day witch hunts and I'm sure you can find some good sites.
Your summaries don't say enough. They are too general and don't make me want to visit the sites.
1.I can't access your first website, and I can't tell what it is about from your summary.
2.The second website seemed useful, but I wasn't sure where to go or what to use. A cheathouse website that costs money to access is not reliable enough for me to go through that trouble.
3. Gypsies are a good example of a witch hunt, and I think that this example gives more ideas of what a witch hunt is and can be a basis for comparison, but I don't think it took place in the US and, therefore, can't be used.
Good Job! Keep Looking and Adding!
You found some very valuable sites, but you may want to add more of a description on your blog.
The second site for question 2 didn't have a lot on it and you may want to replace it or find another site with more information.
Your last site is very good, it provides a lot of information but you are going to find more witch hunts in American history. Good job though.
Your sites were informative, but you need better descriptions.
Need a lil more description for ur 1st couple of sites. and i first thought of the holocaust for witch hunts also, but it has to be an american witch hunt, but excellent job!
1.Good job, landon. Maybe a little more added to your summaries would be good.
2. I like your sites, but maybe add a few more to get a little variety on your page.
3. Good job overall. I liked the sites you provided. They were helpful and interesting to read. Good job!
1. This is a cool site, but you should have a better summary.
2. This cheathouse site is probably not the best to rely on.
3. A couple of your witch hunts are not in America, which they are supposed to be.
The first site is good. It really informative.
Second site was good too.
Your witch hunts are supposed to be from the United States.
1) The first site gives great reasoning for why Miller wrote the play.
2) I couldn’t find where the second site talks about anything other than The Salem Witch Trials and The Crucible.
3) Hitler definitely witch-hunted the Jews.
Good sites, but maybe discuss what the sites are a little more to highlight the parts of the sites you liked the most.
